Diana and Matt married at Perkins Chapel followed by a reception at The Adolphus in Dallas, Texas. The couple chose an all-white color palette that extended to the bridal party’s classically chosen attire, as well. The reception space was covered in lush arrangements of white orchids, hydrangea and roses. / Images by A Nomadic Love, submitted via Matchology.
Says Diana, “One of the most special moments about the day for me was getting ready in the bridal suite at The Adolphus, surrounded by all of my closest friends. I mean, what’s better than champagne, best friends, and getting dolled up for the best day of your life? For all of them, it had been a long time coming for Matt and I to be together and everyone was just so excited to see us finally tie the knot.
I have always loved white. Our whole house is white, I love wearing white, and now that I think about it … even both of our dogs are white, lol. So, I pretty much knew I wanted to go with an all-white-everything theme. I wanted to keep everything pretty classic and traditional, so we did white florals, white linens, white bridesmaid dresses, etc.! I loved how it turned out.
How did you meet? Matt and I met in college at the University of Oklahoma. I was a sophomore and he was a junior. Our first encounter was at his fraternity house, Lambda Chi. I was hanging out in one of the rooms and Matt came and sat next to me. We both will say it was love at first sight. Ever since that moment, we were pretty inseparable. We have so many fun memories to look back on from college and although we never officially dated, we always, always knew that someday, somehow, we would end up together. We belonged together and we both knew that. After college, we moved to different cities, but we kept in touch and remained close friends. After a few years, Matt moved back to Dallas and the stars perfectly aligned. Before we let any more time go by, we started dating. After that, it was pretty obvious to both of us that we never wanted to be apart again.
What did you do for favors? We did mini champagne bottles, emergency hang over kits, snack bars, things to do in Dallas, etc.!
