Valentine’s Day is coming up quickly so to help you come up with the perfect gifts, I’ve put together a guide detailing several classic and preppy picks that are sure to put a smile on the faces of those who receive them. From bridesmaids to groomsmen and mothers to children, I’ve got the bases covered.
A lush preserved boxwood heart wreath pretty much checks all the boxes for me – it’s classic, requires minimal maintenance (a water spritz 2 to 3 times a year) and it’s festive for Valentine’s without being over the top. I also love that the wreath comes with a sturdy wire loop at the top which makes hanging a breeze. It also enables you to easily switch out ribbon styles and colors. I enjoy using a crimson colored ribbon for Christmas and Valentines but changing to a blue dupioni for spring. Working with Carol was a wonderful experience and I was pleased with both the quality of the wreath as well as shipping time.
These luxe sashes dress up your wreaths beautifully for the holidays and the rich scarlet monogram on crisp white linen is the perfect combination for Valentine’s Day (they’d be equally stunning for Christmas, as well). They are available in a variety of materials, colors and embroidery styles. I definitely think these would make a wonderful gift, even if it’s just for yourself!
Walton Street Stationers specialize in luxury stationery needs including letterpress and engraved options. The set of note cards I received (c/o) are thermographed in shades of blues and the navy tissue paper envelope liner adds such a tasteful detail. If you’re looking for top quality, look no further – these would make quite an impressive statement as a Valentine’s gift. Walton Street Stationers also caters to discerning brides and grooms with an array of fine custom invitations – take a look.
I love switching out pillow covers with the seasons and these light and airy linen buffalo check covers are such a refreshing change after the holidays and a great way to beat the winter doldrums – perfect Valentine’s gift for the mom who has everything. I also love that the color and pattern are versatile enough to work in the winter months as well as to usher in the warmer spring months. You may remember that I worked with ShopMyFabrics.com last year on another beautiful pillow project. During that collaboration, Debra and Bethany sent me several fabric swatches so I could decide which pattern and color suited the room best. They had included the lovely linen buffalo check (shown here) among the swatches and while I chose another fabric for that last collaboration, I knew I’d love to somehow incorporate the buffalo check fabric in the future. I’m so glad to have had the chance to work with them again because these pillow covers are truly exceptional. They lighten and brighten the room and the quality of workmanship is top-notch. I chose the self welt edging and I think that detail gives the pillows an added dash of polish that’s just right. I highly recommend working with ShopMyFabrics.com – they have been wonderful to work with both times and I am consistently amazed with how quickly they send out the custom product.
Who would have thought a comfy lounge pillow could look so gorgeously tailored and polished?! These personalized wedge pillows can be customized by color, fabric, piping and monogram style to make them fit your home perfectly and I think they’d make a fantastic Valentine’s gift for bridesmaids or groomsmen. I enjoyed working with the Etsy shop proprietress, Leslie, as she really took the time to chat about the different options and to ensure that I would be happy with the final look and product. I also love that she offers the option of purchasing a wedge pillow with an additional cover so that as the seasons change, so can the covers. I chose a dark navy suede that will be nice in the colder months and the white pique will be fresh for spring and summer. I’m impressed with the quality of the materials as well as the workmanship and I couldn’t believe how quickly these were made and shipped – so fast!
As the temperature keeps dropping, all I want to do is curl up under a cozy blanket by the fire and nurse a heaping cup of hot chocolate. I wish that scenario would play out in my life more than it actually does but luckily, I’ve discovered a way to essentially wear a super cozy and warm blanket around town and still look incredibly chic while running errands – meet the mini ruana (c/o) Bronte Moon – the perfect Valentine’s gift to keep your love warm. I’ve long been a fan of capes and ponchos but this ruana is a gamechanger. Made from luxury merino lambswool in England, the material is super-soft and oh-so-cozy. The ruanas would make fantastic bridesmaid gifts and they’re also available as stoles and shawls. Oceano, silver and camel hues would blend seamlessly for a coastal wedding and the traditional tartans would be charming for a holiday wedding – you can see a beautiful example here by Collette Kulig Photography. The company also offers stunning scarves that would be a wonderful companion gift for the groomsmen. And their alpaca stoles are proving to be a popular piece for summer weddings.
You can’t go wrong with a classic boat tote and these affordable monogrammed cuties would make wonderful Valentine’s gifts for bridesmaids or friends alike. Fill the bag with some bubbly and fun little gifts and you’re set. I should also note that these bags are super roomy and would make a great beach bag as they can fit so much inside.
This cheery gingham stationery set would be a great Valentine’s gift for bridesmaids or even a flower girl. Affordable, darling and personalized, these would be a wonderful inclusion in a gift basket or a as a standalone gift. And I love that Lori always sends a preview before printing to ensure everything is just right.
