Editor’s Note: Re-sharing this wedding from the 2017 archives.
Paige and David wanted to create a cozy fall wedding in New England and the charming town of Cohassett, Mass., was the perfect setting for their vision. With a backdrop of natural reeds, glistening ocean and rocky shores, the couple worked with M. Taylor Events and Beach Plum Floral to create a warm and cozy ambience inside the Red Lion Inn barn. / Images by Erin McGinn Photography.
Says Paige, “In trying to find a venue that fit both Dave and I, Cohasset won us over with its quintessential New England charm and comfort. The ‘Let’s Hibernate’ welcome bags from West Elm kicked off our vision, encompassing the crisp and cozy vibe we want for the November weekend. The bags have something from each state in New England, covering each of our favorite places.
We pulled the outdoors in with hints of birch throughout, from the invites and seating cards to the centerpiece trees from Restoration Hardware (a family affair to properly wire via battery to last the whole night!). For the seating cards (one of my favorite touches), we collected our favorite photos of each guest and used social print studio to print. Our favor was sparkling wine from Mumm Napa, the same sparkling wine we shared on our engagement night in Napa.
Signs throughout the day are frames from my grandparents’ home (Grandpa fired up his workshop to cut the chalk board) and Dave designed and printed. And keeping the fun vibe going the night won’t be complete without late night burgers and glow sticks, of course. Signature at every party we throw.” Credits: Photography: Erin McGinn Photography | Video: Wade at Shark Pig, link to video | Planning: M.
