Mother’s Day is right around the corner and while fresh flowers are always a great and easy go-to gift, I thought it would be fun to share just a few ideas to step the gift-giving up a notch this year.
Zip Taylor Tote (c/o) from GiGi New York
What mom wouldn’t love a new leather bag? The Zip Taylor Tote is not only supremely gorgeous but it offers a roomy inside to store all of those mom essentials plus a zippered compartment and two inside pockets. I personally love that this tote has a zipper closure because … #toddlerlife. Nothing’s worse than turning your back for a nanosecond and finding your child has dumped your tote upside down and is going through everything like a little detective. Luckily, it’s a little harder to do with the Zip Taylor. Oh, and of course, I’m always a huge fan of the monogram customization that GiGi New York offers – so clean and classic.
And the best news is that you can use code MOM30 for an exclusive 30% off sitewide. The code will be active until Mother’s Day, May 12th – enjoy!
I’ve found that pillows can make for a fantastic (and often unexpected) gift for moms. They’re nice because you can change them out with the seasons and these soft blue bamboo lumbar pillows are the loveliest shade and pattern for spring and summer. I had these custom made by Shop My Fabrics and I have to say I was so impressed with the one-on-one attention I received and how quickly the process went. Debbie and Bethany mailed two batches of fabric samples and I’m so glad they did because the style I had in mind looked quite different in person and that allowed me to find this gorgeous bamboo fabric that works perfectly with our newly recovered chairs.
Pink Trellis Cache Pot (c/o) from Shop my Fabrics
These little cache pots make for the perfect mom gift and Shop my Fabrics offers vinyl monogramming which is a nice personalized touch. I’ve found that these cache pots are great to use almost anywhere in the house – to hold keys on a console, remotes in the living room, pens and pencils in an office, hair tools in the bathroom … the list goes on. They are basically a stylish little organizer for you wherever you need them.
These darling notepads are the perfect way to dress up an otherwise mundane to-do list. You can personalize them with a monogram or name and choose from a pink, blue or green gingham background. Pairs perfectly with a hydrangea bouquet to make a lovely gift!
