Editor’s Note: Re-sharing this wedding from the archives.Chelsea and Connor’s beautifully verdant summer wedding in Woodstock, Vt., was especially sentimental because both the bride’s parents and grandparents also wed at the Woodstock Inn and Resort and the North Universalist Chapel in town. Following the ceremony, the couple enjoyed an enthusiastic second line to their reception tent. / Images by Amy Donohue.
Tell us about the moment you knew you had found your dress. [I] went with my sisters and mother to a small bridal store in my hometown of Madison, Ct. The sales woman from Everthine urged me to try it on and initially I said no. After a few failed dresses, I tried on her suggestion and knew immediately it was the one.
Chelsea and Connor’s Love Story. We met in college in my first day of class. We were both in U.S. History together. He soon after had someone on his football team pass him my number and the rest is history.
What were your favorite special touches from the wedding? Being able to share Woodstock which is such a special and important part of my families history with all of our guests. Having a second line from the church to the reception was one of my favorite touches, the band was amazing and everyone enjoyed the walk.
Favorite memories of the day? Walking with our bridal party and all of our guests to the reception with the band. Our relaxed cocktail party where we were able to greet all of our guests since we did a first look. Listening to my sisters, Connor’s brother, and my dad give their amazing speeches. Dancing to the band with all of our guests and then continuing the dance party to the after party at Bentley’s down the block.
The couple honeymooned to South Africa – Singita Ebony Lodge, One and Only in Capetown, And Beyond on Benguerra Island.
