Favorite memories? Sharing the entire day together. We had a wonderful champagne breakfast at our hotel, then had a stroll around the town in the sunshine before returning to get ready for our afternoon ceremony. I did my own hair and make-up so it was a very relaxed day. I made the flower bouquet at home in England. Our photographer, Rebecca, was utterly fantastic, she picked us up from our hotel and gave us a tour of the island, stopping at beautiful beaches and the famous lighthouse to take photos whilst watching the sunset. Rebecca dropped us off at the hotel and we sat down on a bench opposite the hotel, sipping champagne taking the day in. Many people passing by would stop to hear our story … it’s not everyday you see a bride and groom sitting on a bench sipping champagne, I guess?! Where did you honeymoon? We flew from Nantucket to New York, then over to the West Coast where we traveled from San Diego to Las Vegas on a 3-week road trip. We visited amazing places such as Carmel, Monterey, San Francisco, Yosemite, Redwood National Park and Death Valley. Damian and Kirsty flew from England to elope at a small chapel on Nantucket. After tying the knot, the couple embarked on a 3-week road trip along the West coast. / Images by Rebecca Love Photography.Says the couple, “We eloped from Manchester, England. We spent a week in Boston and Cape Cod, then said ‘i do’ on the beautiful island of Nantucket. It was just the two of us (although modern technology allowed family and friends to watch the ceremony from a computer screen back home!). We committed to our vows in a cute little church surrounded by cobblestoned streets. We are both keen travelers and were planning a U.S. road trip as well as our wedding and thought … hey, why not get married along the way?! It was truly a perfect day, which ended watching the sunset on the beach with champagne, burger and chips!
