Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Editor’s Note: This post is sponsored as I was sent several complimentary items featured and all are marked as “c/o” throughout the post. All editorial and opinions are my own.

Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it so if you need some help coming up with thoughtful gifts, look no further! I’ve rounded up some classics that have an undeniably New England vibe that I know you and your loved ones will adore.

No. 1 | Preserved boxwood wreaths (c/o) from Silk Plants Direct

Boxwood wreaths are one of my favorite wreath styles because they are classic and so versatile. You can hang them year round and by just adding a seasonal ribbon or bow, they magically become perfectly “dressed” for any occasion. Just add a soft blush velvet ribbon around them to give as a Valentine’s gift and tuck a handwritten note in for an added touch. I love that these wreaths are preserved and require minimal care. Silk Plants Direct also has an impressively beautiful assortment of silk flowers which would make equally sweet Valentine’s Day gifts (and they won’t die a few days later like a fresh bouquet!). If you’d like to try the site out, use code “CLASSICBRIDE” and save 10% off your purchase (excluding custom orders).

No. 2 | Sheepskin Slippers (c/o) by George C Kirks Footwear

There’s nothing worse than chilly feet in the winter so I can’t think of a better seasonal gift than a gorgeous handmade pair of (warrrrm!) sheepskin slippers. George C Kirks Footwear is a family-owned business based in Edmonton, Canada, and the family prides themselves on quality craftsmanship which completely showed when this pair arrived at my doorstep. When I opened the box, an intoxicatingly pleasant waft of suede and shearling permeated the air and I couldn’t believe how super soft the slippers were – both the inside shearling and outside cowhide. Wearing them truly feels like your feet are cozied up in warm clouds. You can also customize the slippers with different colors – a soft pink pair would be so fun for Valentine’s Day! Wrap them up along with some gourmet hot chocolate and a “coupon” for some fireside cuddle time!

No. 3 | Monogrammed Bath Towels (c/o) by Three Threads SC

Nothing says Valentine’s like an inviting bath surrounded by warm glowing candles. I love the idea of creating a gift package around the bath concept – a set of artisanal bath salts, a set of monogrammed bath towels and some cozy slippers to slip into after the bath. These bath towels from Three Threads SC are made of 100% pure cotton, feature a solid dobby weave and are ultra absorbent and fast drying. Allison, the shop proprietress, was super sweet to work with and the towels shipped super quickly!

No. 4 | Wool Dryer Balls (c/o) by Wooly Doodles Fiber Art

Have you heard about these? Basically, you throw a few in with your wet laundry in the dryer and the natural wool soaks up moisture allowing for a faster dry time. They also create a reduction in static cling and fewer wrinkles because the moisture is more evenly distributed thanks to the dryer balls. I love that they’re a natural alternative to dryer sheets and what’s even better is that if you want, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to each ball so your laundry will smell just the way you like. They may not be the first thing to come to mind when thinking of Valentine’s Day gifts but I think these would be really sweet to give to your love with a handmade card or coupon that says you’ll do the laundry for “x” amount of time. I know I’d sure like to get that for a gift.

No. 5 | Velvet Bow Hair Tie (c/o) by Lovely in Line

This is a wonderful gift for a gal of any age! It’s as easy to use as a regular hair tie and I love that the bow will always look just right since the ribbon is adhered in place. I used to just take ribbon and tie a bow around my ponytail but it would eventually fall out or lose its shape so I really appreciate this new hair tie. The perfect Galentine’s gift!

No. 6 | Brown Bear Royal Scout Boot Cuffs (c/o) by Royal Scout Co.

This is such a fun winter accessory that is sure to brighten any friend’s day. Just pop the cuffs on over your socks and you have instant added chicness and they come ready to gift in a darling stamped linen bag. I love topping off my Bean Boots with them but they’d also look great with taller styles. Oh, and they’re on sale for only $22.00!
