Says Gracie, “I found my dress at L’Elite Bridal in Boston, Mass. I went into my appointment with a sense of what I thought I wanted and it turned out that my dress was very different from that idea. The dress I chose was the first dress that I tried on, which really surprised me. It felt elegant, romantic and classic. I think the beige lining gave it a more natural, rustic feeling that I could picture at our venue. Angela at L’elite was the one who recommended the dress for me and I am so grateful that she suggested it. Lena did the alterations and she has such an incredible eye for detail. She made the fittings fun and laid back.
Gracie & Tim’s Love Story | We met in college playing tennis. After college, grad school and work landed us in different cities, but we both made efforts to stay on the same coast and made time to see each other as much as possible. We got our first apartment together in Boston and the rest is pretty much history. Favorite memories? I had so many favorite memories from the day. It was so much fun to see our tent go up behind the inn and to see the little details come together. I loved getting ready with my bridal party and family. We had a little cottage off to the side of Bufflehead to get ready in. It felt very relaxed and I loved that we got to sip coffee together and hangout on the little deck outside. One of my favorite memories was seeing my dad before we walked down the aisle. That was a moment that I really looked forward to. Our sister-in-law officiated our wedding, which made the ceremony very memorable and special for us. We also had an amazing time dancing. We loved our band who we discovered at our friends’ wedding. They got everyone out on dance floor! We wanted to feel like we were in our backyard. We had lots of candles and tea lights on the tables and we also had bistro lights strung around the tent that gave it a glow-y ambiance at night. Michelle from Minka Flowers designed the floral arrangements and table settings. She crafted beautiful hydrangea and white flower arrangements that were clean and elegant. She added in accents of greenery to compliment the wooded surroundings of Bufflehead. My cousin and my maid of honor teamed up on making a beautiful seating chart by hand, so it was also a very special detail from the day.
Gracie’s advice? I received a lot of good advice during the wedding, but one of the best pieces of advice came from my mom. She reminded me to stay in the moment and cherish our time during the engagement no matter how busy we were with work, planning or other commitments. Looking back, the time really did fly by, so I’m so happy she gave me that advice to slow down and take it all in.
Where’d you honeymoon? We honeymooned in England and France. We flew to London and spent a few days there before travelling on to Paris and Nice. Our honeymoon gave us time to relax and take in all the emotion and excitement after the wedding.
