Spooky Halloween Party Tips & Bar Cart Decor

Spooky Halloween Party Tips & Bar Cart Decor

Editor’s Note: Re-sharing because it’s that time of year again!

So happy to have Morgan back with us today to share her tips on styling a seasonal bar cart with us! I especially love the idea of incorporating her holiday tips for a themed bachelorette party if you’re having a fall wedding because what girl doesn’t love costumes and cocktails? 🙂

Hello! Hello! This is Morgan over at Sprinkle of Glam blog. I have a little lifestyle blog based out of Nashville, Tenn. You may remember me from past posts with Classic Bride. Sarah asked me to share my spooky bar cart and tips for Halloween parties with y’all. I love the holidays and any excuse to decorate or host parties. Halloween is especially fun, because it involves costumes and spooky décor! / Images by Catherine Truman Photography.

Tips for Spooky Halloween Parties:

Tip One | Pick a color scheme and stick with it. Do not overthink your colors; use only 2-4 colors to keep your decor simple. I used black, white, and pops of copper. Throughout my party, even the food is consistent with the color scheme.

Tip Two | For your food, serve items that reflect the theme of the party or the season. I made fall staples for my Halloween soirée. Since it is apple season, we had apple pie, caramel apples, and, of course, a festive cocktail.

Tip Three | Use fun and whimsical décor that is also functional. I had black crows, black flowers, orange paper straws, and cocktail books for Halloween. My Kate Spade tidbit plates were not only décor for my bar cart, but also functional to serve treats on.

Tip Four | Have cheerful glasses for your guests to enjoy a drink while at your party. Since Moscow mules are very popular, I made easy DIY copper pumpkin face mugs. These would also be cute for hostess gifts!

Tip Five | Dress for the party! Have your guests dress up, the pumpkin copper mugs would be the perfect prize for best costume.
