Says Gloria, “We were looking for something that was ‘quintessential Chicago,’ a place rich in history and culture, and the Art Institute could not have been more perfect for this. We felt very lucky when we learned the museum had availability in the historic wing, which was our preference because we loved the character of the space. We also loved that we were able to walk through the Impressionist Wing on the way to the reception in the Stock Exchange Room – it was a special and unique treat for us and our guests.
We sought to match the character of the historic wing – elegant and tasteful, but not stuffy. The Women’s Board Staircase and the Stock Exchange Trading Room both have a great deal of detail and style – we strived to complement those spaces with a refined and understated design. We were thrilled with the results – both spaces were stunning.
The couple took a mini-moon to the Amangani Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and honeymooned at Chalet Zermatt Peak in Switzerland.
