Says Lauren, “I grew up in Hilton Head and always knew I wanted to get married there. Sea Pines Country Club embraces the essence of Hilton Head – big moss trees, on the marsh, etc. and I really wanted our guests’ to have the real Hilton Head experience.
I wore a ring on my right hand from my grandmother and wore my older sister’s veil. Also, Ryan has his late grandfathers wedding band as his own now which is very meaningful.
I knew exactly the type of dress I wanted and it didn’t take long for me to find it! I put it on, tried a few more on, and went back to it and by the look on my mom and sisters face, confirmed it was the one!
Favorite memory? Our first look! I was EXTREMELY hesitant to do this but I wanted to follow the traditional wedding day timeline. My fiance convinced me and I would not have it any other way. It was the best moment and so special for us to have that time together.
Lauren & Ryan’s Love Story | We are an online success story! We met on match.com and like to say we had “three first dates” that took place over a year and half and it’s history from the third date. We dated for two years and got engaged very close to our two year mark and married seven months later!
Enjoy the process. It can be stressful but just remember it will all be over soon so enjoy every second. Don’t get so wrapped up you forget about your fiance! This is a special time for the both of you and he needs to feel loved and not ignored due to wedding planning.”
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia.
