Says Erin, “Mike and I knew right away that we wanted to have our summer wedding by the water. We chose the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club because of its lush grounds and gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound. We wanted our wedding to have a classic and timeless style that exuded simple elegance.
My grandmother, who passed away in 2011, was an amazing seamstress. She made each of her granddaughters lace garters with blue ribbon for their wedding day for their ‘something blue.’ Wearing that garter made me feel like I had a piece of her with me on my wedding day. Mike and I met in 2006 while we were both still in high school. We were introduced while waiting in line to buy tickets to a hockey game.I went to Kleinfeld with my mom and my maid of honor hoping to find my dream dress. Little did I know it would be the very first dress I tried on! I knew it was my wedding dress once I put the veil on and looked in the mirror – I was able to picture myself walking down the aisle in it to Mike.
My favorite memories of our wedding day were getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids in the morning, our first kiss as husband and wife, and our sparkler exit that put the most beautiful end to the greatest day.”
The couple honeymooned in London, Paris, and the South of France.
