Says the couple, “We chose a small church on a beach near Kristen’s parents’ home. We spent a lot of our summers on that beach and wanted to incorporate that atmosphere into our wedding. The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport was a beautiful classic style hotel overlooking the water. We chose a nautical theme to match the setting and the reception in the ballroom. On dress shopping: “I went [with] just my mom with no intention to buy a dress that day. My dress was the second dress I tried on and I just knew. I couldn’t take it off!” Kristen & Gabe’s Love Story | We first met at Kristen’s parents’ 25th wedding anniversary party when we were sixteen years old. It wasn’t until a few years later, at 19, when Gabe moved from California to Boston that we started dating and we have been together ever since.
We have some wonderful memories from our wedding day. We would have to say that our favorite was when we took a couple of minutes outside to ourselves at the end of the night to just appreciate all that happened that day.
The couple’s advice? Your wedding goes by quicker than you could imagine. Be sure to step aside and take a moment to yourselves to enjoy and appreciate your day.
The couple honeymooned in Antigua.
