Cheerful Spring House Wedding on Block Island

Cheerful Spring House Wedding on Block Island

Allison and Mark’s cheerful wedding at the Spring House Hotel on Block Island, RI, was awash in a palette of coral and navy punctuated by pretty pastels. Painted Rock Designs created bright textural bouquets which paired beautifully against the coastal backdrop. / Images by Erin McGinn.

Says Allison, “Block Island has always been our special place. From the moment I first saw the Spring House when I first started dating Mark at age 15, I knew that was where I wanted to get married. Getting married at the Spring House is a dream come true. Mark proposed to me on the Mohegan bluffs overlook, so Block Island holds a special place in our hearts.

After seeing some really special arches in wedding blogs, Mark decided to make one to frame us for the ceremony.”

We painted two oars for everyone to sign as the guest book: one to hang at the Oar and one to hang in our house.”

Block Island is one of my favorite places to shoot, and having a daytime wedding so guests could enjoy the view the entire time was perfect! Thank you so much for sharing, Sarah! xo

Block Island is awesome and I always love a location with a lighthouse!
