Editor’s Note: I was kindly sent the photo books featured in this post in exchange for writing about them. It’s thanks to wonderful sponsors like MILK that Classic Bride is able to stay up and running! All editorial and opinions are my own. After receiving our newborn session photos from Sarah Jayne Photography, I knew I wanted to frame a few for keepsakes but there were so many good ones I decided to use them to make photo books as Christmas gifts for my parents and J’s parents.
I’m so glad I chose MILK Books because the quality of their books blew me away! I went with the Archival Medium Photo Books and what I love most are the lightly textured pages – I chose their Italian Tintoretto paper which is a white, uncoated art paper and the fine texture gives the pages such a rich feel. I don’t think I’d ever want to order another photo book without these deliciously textured pages. If that’s not your thing, they also offer pages in smooth, satin or matte ivory.
The cover material I chose is ivory linen which I think creates such a classic look. MILK offers several different shades of linen as well as two other materials to choose from: Buckram (a durable, coated fabric with a slight sheen) and Wibalin (uncoated, natural matte finish paper cover). I really enjoyed the ease of laying out the design, as well. After you upload your photos (which was very quick!), MILK offers a large variety of page layouts to choose from and you can intersperse text throughout which I found fun to add little notes and lines of scripture here and there.
You can opt to have a large image on the front cover, a small image (what I chose) or no image at all. You also have the option to have a title printed on the cover and the spine. I love these books so much and actually wish I had made three so I could keep one for Winston’s nursery! The quality is top-notch and I think these would be terrific to make wedding albums or to document your honeymoon and other travels – highly recommend!
