We had W wear one of the beautiful day gowns my mother made for him – it’s smocked with little lambs – but unfortunately, he seemed too warm in it and got a little fussy so we had to take him out of it. 🙁 I think I’ll try to take some more photos of him in it before he outgrows it because it’s really really adorable!
When my Mom came to visit, she had the prettiest pom pom bow made for one of W’s gifts and we found the perfect home for it on W’s antique rocking horse. If you want to see more details of W’s room, check out my nursery reveal post.
Sarah had the idea to put W in between my childhood stuffed animals and we all just love how this photo came out! I think it will be fun to take the same photo later on to see how much he’s grown.
I love brushing W’s hair with my grandfather’s baby brush and comb set.
My great grandmother crocheted this baby cap and I think it’s so special that W can wear this treasured heirloom now.
As luck would have it, the day Sarah had availability for the shoot fell on a day that my parents were in town so we were able to get a few special shots with them, as well.
Our first month with W was filled with emotional ups and downs and lots and lots of learning but as J&I have started to feel more confident in our roles as parents, we’re fully embracing our new life and love watching our little blessing from God grow and change before our eyes. I’m so happy we have these beautiful photos to look back on and remember this time of momentous change in our lives. xox.
