October has always been my favorite month – I love feeling the air turning cool and crisp and watching the leaves change color and dance to the ground and knowing that these things are ushering in the beginning of the holiday season. There’s something so renewing about it all and it’s definitely one of the reasons J&I chose to get married during October … and we just may have planned for our baby to have been born during this glorious month, as well – too bad that little rascal managed to come a week before his due date and which made him a September baby – ah well! 😉 I’m so looking forward to the fun jewel at the end of the month – Halloween! I love getting creative with costumes and planning fun get-togethers so I was extra-excited this year because we’d have our little Winston to dress up, too!
I spent awhile looking at different costumes for W – lions, elephants, giraffes, pumpkins – all the adorable little animals he could be … but when I came across this adorable crocheted lamb hat from Jenia’s Designs on Etsy, I was beyond smitten and knew Winston just had to be a sweet little lamb for his first Halloween. I really love that while this is the perfect Halloween outfit for a newborn, we’ll be able to use it again and again during the winter months as a cute hat for him, as well.
Jenia also has another lovely shop, Stitch of Nature – make sure to check it out! You can visit it on Etsy here. Both of Jenia’s shops on Etsy are crochet pattern shops but she has several ready-to-ship and made-to-order items. Also, there is an option to request a custom order in both of the shops or you can contact Jenia to ask any questions (which is what I did when inquiring about the gorgeous lambie hat).
What’s your favorite Halloween costume for a newborn?
