SOLD | Chartreuse Referent Super Typewriter

SOLD | Chartreuse Referent Super Typewriter

I have another gorgeous typewriter for sale today – and this one is in the most covetable chartreuse shade! It’s a vintage Referent Super typewriter and I think it would be a fantastic statement piece at a preppy pink-and-green wedding! I found this beauty several years ago while antiquing in Germany. When I spotted it, I was instantly mesmerized by the amazing color and just had to bring it home with me:

About the typewriter:
This gorgeous (and very rare!) chartreuse Referent Super typewriter dates back to around the 1960s. I purchased this typewriter in Germany at an antiques market while I was living in Europe.

The typewriter is in excellent vintage condition and has no chips or cracks. All keys are working and the return bell lets out a delightful ring. The typewriter measures approximately 12″ wide, 12.5″ deep and 5″ high.

The typewriter comes with its original hard carrying case. Also included in the case are two original wooden cleaning brushes and an original dusting cloth. I will note that while the top of the carrying case can be easily removed, the bottom tray portion of the carrying case is secured to the bottom of the typewriter with original screws in several places. I didn’t attempt to detach the tray (as you can see from the photos) but it can be removed if desired.

Note: Because this is a European typewriter, the keys are in a different layout than American typewriters. However, all keys are fully functioning. Also, the typewriter ribbon appears to have dried out a bit so it will probably need to be replaced with a fresh universal ribbon to produce crisp letters (super easy to find on Amazon!).

Price: $335.00 + shipping SOLD!
