T&I found ourselves exploring Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri on our last day of the cruise. We started the morning off in Pompeii with a guided tour and I couldn’t believe we were looking at actual preserved bodies salvaged from the ancient volcanic eruption. It’s hard to imagine the fear and emotions that were running through these peoples’ minds but actually seeing a glimpse of what they went through was very powerful and very sad.


After a lunch in Sorrento, we walked down to the harbor and boarded the boat to the Isle of Capri … here’s what we saw as we neared the harbor of Capri:

P1000659 P1000654The water was such a beautiful mixture of blues and greens, I wouldn’t have been surprised if a mermaid’s tail surfaced. We spent the afternoon exploring Capri … definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited …
