About the Editor

Sarah Darcy is a wedding writer based in New England. She has a soft spot for the classic American preppy aesthetic which has come to serve as the signature backbone of this blog. In 2007, Sarah began Classic Bride blog as a place to visually gather inspiration for her own wedding. Today, the blog is a daily source of inspiration for every preppy bride as well as many industry insiders.

Sarah currently lives in Boston with her husband and sweet baby boy, Winston, who joined the family last fall. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and is a member of Aisle Society.

Sarah’s work has been kindly featured in Brides, Wedding Style Guide, Southern Weddings, InStyle Weddings, Weddings Unveiled, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons, B Magazine, Matchbook magazine, Rangefinder as well as many blogs. Sarah is honored to have been named one of the top 10 bridal blogs by BRIDES; one of the “Best in Blogspiration” by InStyle Weddings; and as a top 5 bridal blog pick by Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.

– Sarah spent several years living in Europe throughout her childhood and shortly after she married her husband and wrote European Travel Guides documenting her favorite travels – hello, honeymoon inspiration!
– While living in Europe, Sarah styled and modeled for a love shoot in Paris. She wore her Mom’s 1960s wedding dress and the shoot was later featured in Matchbook – oh, and the dress is for sale here!
– Last but not least, Sarah has re-opened the virtual doors to her online wedding boutique, CB Vintage. It’s filled with treasures she found while antiquing in Europe (mostly France, Belgium and Germany). If you’re looking for some European gems to create a sense of legacy, tradition and love at your wedding … well, this is the boutique for you!
