Says Rebekah, “Niceville is where the both of us grew up. The town is so dear to our hearts and we, of course, wanted to get married there. We wanted a simple wedding that really just showcased the true meaning of the day. We wanted the day to show more about the marriage than the wedding. It was a perfect day for us and allowed all of our families to be together.
Favorite memories? There were so many highlights of our wedding day! First, Bekah got to get ready in her childhood home, and so did Thor. The day was filled with family. The ceremony was done by Thor’s best friend which made getting married that much more special to have personal touches. The reception had all our friends and family there and the dance floor was never empty!
It took me trying on many dresses to where I finally found ‘the one.’ Again, I just wanted something simple. It took awhile to find one without lace or beads but when I found the one and I could dance in it … I knew it was the one!
Rebekah & Thor’s Love Story | We met in high school! Thor is two years older then me and we didn’t start dating until he graduated. God blessed me with the best friend before we even started dating. Thor is my best friend and I am so thankful that he is the one I get to call my person forever!
Rebekah’s mom made the centerpieces out of pottery. Glazing them with beautiful blues made them all individual and special!
Rebekah’s advice? Do not get caught up in the ‘planning’ part and remember the true meaning of why you are having this wedding … you get to marry your best friend!
