Julie and Dustin wed along the Cape Cod coast at Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, Mass. They incorporated navy as a main color in their palette but cheery pops of pink, orange and blue florals by Patrice R. Milley created a playful and fun feel. / Images by Kelly Cronin Photography.
Says Julie, “Growing up, I spent many summers in Chatham at my family’s vacation house and always dreamed of having a wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. The elegance of Chatham Bars Inn and the beauty of its beaches are unrivaled.
My ‘something borrowed’ was my grandmother’s diamond bracelet. Being able to have her at my wedding in more than just spirit was so meaningful. I remember being enamored with how much her bracelet sparkled in the sun that day.
My dress was the first dress I tried on! I knew I wanted a v-neck dress with lace, but was open to various silhouettes. I fell in love with my dress from the moment I saw it on the hanger. I loved its scalloped lace overlay and long train. Of course, I thought finding my dress couldn’t be this easy and tried on about 10 more dresses just to make sure it was the one.
Dustin and I met the first day of our residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital. We were in line to get our fingerprints taken for one of our rotations, and I was instantly attracted to his kindness and the way he intently listens. By the end of the line, my hands were so sweaty that my fingerprints couldn’t be recorded by the machine!
One of my favorite memories of my wedding day was waking up to sunshine and blue skies! The forecast for our wedding day was grey skies with a very high chance of rain. Knowing how unpredictable Cape Cod weather could be, we planned for the worst. But somehow we ended up with the most beautiful day for an outdoor seaside wedding.
