Rachel and Alexander wed in the late summer at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, Mass. Wedding planner Kalson Pang worked alongside florist Lilacs to help create a memorable and classic affair. We’re particularly smitten with the Tiffany blue bridesmaids dresses by Weddington Way and the bride’s choice of Theia gown which was inspired by Carolyn Bessette. / Images by Kelly Cronin Photography.
Says Rachel, “We felt we could have the Cape Cod wedding of our dreams at the beautiful Wequassett overlooking Pleasant Bay. We loved the breathtaking water views.
I tried on my dress and it felt so comfortable. Then I turned and saw the dramatic cowl back. It felt elegant yet relaxed, just like the feel of the wedding. I was inspired by Carolyn Bessette’s wedding dress.
Favorite memory? Standing at the altar with my husband, the sun shining down, the wind blowing and feeling nothing but bliss in the moment.
Rachel & Alex’s Love Story | It was the summer of 2012 when Rachel and her friend, Grace, were taking in the views of the Boston Harbor at Legal Seafoods in the Seaport District. Two seats opened up across from their table. Two gentleman approached and asked if the seats were available. Rachel and her friend smiled and nodded. As the girls stood up to leave, Alex looked at Rachel and asked her if they would stay and join them for sushi. The sparks were instantaneous. Three years later Alex was down on one knee, proposing to Rachel 30,000 feet in the sky. And she said yes!
Rachel’s advice? Don’t micro-manage. Leave the flowers to the florists, leave the music to the DJ, leave the food to the chefs. Book and meet with your vendors in advance; then don’t sweat it!
Where did you honeymoon? We stayed on a friend’s boat and went to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. We’re going to Italy next.
