Choosing our 2016 Christmas Card

Editor’s Note: This post is sponsored by Minted. I received the birth announcements featured in this post in exchange for writing about them.

Since our little peanut just joined us about two months ago, J&I decided to forego the traditional holiday card this year and instead send out Winston’s birth announcements with a little Christmas message. It was so tough to choose just one photo from our newborn session but I love how they came out:

We chose the Sweet Stripes Letterpress Birth Announcements from Minted and I adore how the texture and colors of the letterpress are reminiscent of blue and white striped seersucker. The pure cotton, slightly-textured, 118 lb weight paper feels substantial and luxurious at the same time. And my favorite part of ordering from Minted year after year is that I can store my address book on the site and opt to have our envelopes printed with both recipient addresses as well as our return address on the back flap. I can’t even begin to tell you what a lifesaver that is with a newborn in the house – it makes the process so much easier and it’s fun because the only “work” you have left is writing a personalized note on the back, sealing the envelope and sticking a stamp on the front.dsc_0157

You can upload a personal photo to be printed on the stamps or choose from a stylish graphic Minted has ready to go. They also offer slip-in liners for envelopes (there’s even a glittery gold one!). That way, everything you need for your holiday cards arrives in one box. The best!dsc_0209Hope you enjoyed this peek at our holiday cards. Here’s a few other holiday designs from Minted that I love for the newlywed couple:
