Jen and Nick’s spring wedding in Maine is exactly what I think of when I picture the ultimate New England wedding – they chose a darling chapel with weathered shingled siding that looks like it’s straight out of a storybook and they wed in a town that Jen summered in and Nick ultimately proposed! / Photos by Sarah Jayne Photography.
Says photographer Sarah Ellis, “Jen and Nick are natural leaders, so it was only fitting that they kick off wedding season with an early May wedding. The couple chose Maine because it was a place Jen spent many childhood summers at her family’s home, and ultimately where Nick proposed. Jen and her bridesmaids got ready in her family’s home and she selected a vibrant floral kimono robe that fit each personality.
Her glam grandmother let her wear her stunning emerald ring, which was the perfect addition to her elegant look.
The reception was held at the cozy and chic Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, where the couple was able to throw a big party. The band was electric and created an interactive experience for guests, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Instead of cake, the couple offered guests a milkshake bar – how fun is that! “
