Today’s feature includes a heartfelt story behind a beautiful bridal shoot. The bride wanted to include her mother’s wedding dress in her big day and she found the perfect way to do just that – read on to discover how she did it! / Images by Stacey Taylor Photography.
Says Stacey, “The story behind the session was very sweet and filled with sentiment. The ‘bride-to-be’ was given her mother’s wedding dress. She loved the dress but it wasn’t quite her style. The bride is stylish, classic and simple. The wedding was an evening wedding and she wanted a dress with a cap sleeve and tea length. Her mother was open to the idea of her altering the dress. So, the bride and I arranged to have a secret photo shoot to capture her wearing the dress as her mother wore it. She even carried her mother’s original bouquet (faux floral bouquet). At the rehearsal dinner, the bride presented her mom with an album of the secret bridal photos we took. Her mom was really emotional and loved the gift. Her mother didn’t know what the dress looked like after it had been restyled until right before the bride put the dress on on her wedding day. In the gallery I am sending you I included a couple of images of the bride and her mother on her wedding day. This was seriously the sweetest moment. I cried. Both of these ladies have the sweetest relationship. It was truly special to be a part of their special moment.”
