Caitlyn and Devin currently live in D.C. and love the city but both their families are from New England so they decided to wed in Rhode Island at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Gardens and inject a bit of their love for D.C. in the festivities. / Images by Erin McGinn, Video by Frame and Anchor.
Says Caitlyn, “Our families both call New England home, specifically Massachusetts, so it was important for us to include that on our wedding day. Although we currently live in Washington, DC, we will always call New England home. The first couple years of our relationship involved a lot of frequent flier miles. Weekends were spent flying back and forth between Mass. and D.C., until Caitlyn decided to join Devin in the District in 2011. Many of our first dates were spent walking the National Mall, taking in all of its beauty and history, and falling in love with the City. As much as New England represents the root of our family, D.C. quickly became the root of our relationship. It’s where we fell in love. We both knew we wanted to bring D.C. to our New England wedding in whatever way possible.”
