Stephanie and Dan met and fell in love in Hoboken, New Jersey, so the city’s backdrop was a natural choice when it came time for their engagement shoot. / Images by Lauren Fair Photography.
Says Stephanie, “Our love has always been a bit old school, comparable to the days of Frank Sinatra and ‘Ole Blue Eyes. Which is why our love story; where we met and fell in love in Sinatra’s town is so fitting for our engagement session. The old Hoboken Train Terminal and NYC skyline as backdrops beautifully capture our old school romance.
Dan and I met through mutual friends while both joining a social bowling league. Ironically, neither one of us can bowl, but we both joined for the social aspect of meeting new people and enjoying some drinks on a Tuesday night! We both realized how much we had in common, with a love of New York sports being the very start. I mean who else is a NY Giants and Mets fan? – truly a rare combo! Dan and I both grew up in the country, but our love blossomed in the city of Hoboken, where all of our memories were created. In fact, we ‘officially’ fell in love at Pier A Park on the waterfront five years ago. In that very same park four and a half years later Dan proposed – while playing Bruno Mars ‘Marry You’ on the piano, complete with a singing group and secret photographer. Talk about winning a girl over!
We are getting married at The Inn at Lambertville Station, which is a venue right on the Delaware River. Getting married right at the riverfront is so significant for us, as we both grew up next to the river, just him in New Jersey and myself in Pennsylvania! Symbolically, it felt like this location is tying our families and our relationship together. But because our love grew in the urban city of Hoboken, there was no other place to capture our engagement session.”
